Gaming has always been a part of me that never dies. Outsiders might look at it as something that's just plain useless and unproductive, and hell, even call it childish to be playing video games. The thing is, even though the stigma is there, we gamers have partially proved that it's not all useless and there's something to learn from it. The existence of blog is to share my experiences with games. Opinions, reviews and news from the gaming industry can be seen on here.

Dragon Age 4 Is In The Works...Lets Hope It Isn't Another "Mass Effect: Andromeda".
I have recently posted an entry talking about EA's redemption with their upcoming publication, Anthem. In that entry, i expressed my hopes that EA would learn from their mistakes that they have made with Star Wars: Battlefront II, since it received major backlash for it's inclusion of loot boxes and microtransactions. Worst of all, the whole game was designed with this as the main staple of the game. They have removed loot boxes since, but the game is a disaster without it and it's just a mere husk now.
However, one thing i forgot to mention in that entry was the fiasco with Mass Effect: Andromeda. Prior to the release of Battlefront II, EA and BioWare had to deal with pressure and backlash from fans and critics for it's broken condition; bad animations, bugs and glitches. Aside from that, the game wasn't up to the standards that set by it's predecessors; bad writing, questionable game design, uninteresting characters and choices. On EA's side, the fact that they love pressuring their developers into rushing a game out the door before being fully ready is no old news and Mass Effect: Andromeda is latest victim of their bad habit.
Funny that Battlefront II, a game that had insulting loot boxes and microtransactions, was near perfect in terms of it's condition. I guess EA takes their time with games that earn them more money.
If you're currently asking what's my point, well...my point is that i hope Dragon Age 4 doesn't receive the same treatment by EA both ways; inclusion of loot boxes and the treatment of rushing the game out the door like Mass Effect: Andromeda did. It's very hard to trust EA nowadays with their recent doings but lets hope for the best. Only time will tell whether EA is willing to change...or not.
